Possibly, less is more with this image. If the text was taken away, and maybe even the Buddha too, it may create a stronger illustration. Otherwise your elephant is very good. He is full of character and appears to feel the weight of his anguish.
Penny retains her strong illustrative style in all of her work - and this is no exception! I instantly knew this was Penny's and I didn't know she was going for Ed. 6. I love the colours! The background texture is wonderful and looks great in conjunction to the block colours around it. And of course, the elephant is an endearing li'l fellow! I'd like him on the front cover of a note book! :)
