I love this, eyecatching and beautiful, it marries up the themes of tradition, different cultures and even sewing bits of felt at school,sits on the page great as well with the sewn edge.
I love the way you've used fabric and embridery. The elephants are soft and caring, and the stitched background and flowers in the foreground place them really effectively in the space. I'm very envious. Its a fab piece of work.
this was one of my favourite images of the whole competition. you were the only person to use embroidery as far as i can remember... and i just think it translates really beautifully into a 2D image. it also seems to capture the theme of the article in a very original and effective way.
I know lisa was in my group, but I still think this is amazing. Such a different media usage, and it came out really well =D
